Function- preserving fat grafting in the breast: results based on 18 years of experience.
by Yin et al. in Journal of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery. In this article, the authors proposed a new concept “function-preserving fat grafting” (FPFG) that aimed to preserve fat integrity and cell viability throughout the whole operation of fat grafting. To validate this concept, the authors conducted a retrospective study containing 1218 patients (703 cases of breast aesthetic augmentation, 38 cases of breast reconstruction after mastectomy, and 26 cases of simultaneous implant exchange with fat). We congratulate the authors for achieving satisfactory results with low complication rates based on a large sample size.
