Flap prefabrication using arterialized vein ring as implanted vascular pedicle

      Prefabricated flap, providing an excellent color and texture match for the recipient site, has become increasingly popular among surgeons in recent years.

      The temporoparietal fascia flap: a versatile tool in head and neck reconstruction.
      However, in the current condition, some autologous known vessels with important function have to be sacrificed for flap prefabrication, leading to distinct destruction to the blood circulation of vessel donor site. This study was designed to investigate the feasibility of using simply a segment of superficial vein as the axial vessel of prefabricated flap, meanwhile, the blood circulation characteristics of this type of prefabricated flap was explored preliminarily.
