We read with interest the article ‘Starplasty: an ideal method for correction of occluded
external nares following burns' by Tiwari and Sarabhai.

The technique that the authors have claimed as new and devised by themselves has
in fact been described by the senior author (AN) in 1992 in the article titled ‘The
double cross plasty: a new technique for nasal stenosis.
