Face reconstruction after a major burn using tube pedicles: A 46-year follow-up

      Recent publicity and interest in face transplantation following the World's first partial homograft by a French Surgeon, Jean-Michel Dubernard (November 2005), has opened up possibilities for future patients requiring major surgery after burns, trauma, or excision procedures. Replacement of facial tissues after severe burns has never been easy and the effects on confidence and life can be prolonged.
