      Abstract

Free flap transfer often involves anastomosing vessels with different diameters. A new technique to anastomose vessels with considerable discrepancy in diameter, which has been used reliably for thirteen years in clinical practice, is described. Scanning electron microscopy shows that the anastomotic area is very smooth and heals well.
