From the Editor: Introducing the JPRAS special collection on breast implants
In the light of current concerns around the world about breast implants manufactured by the French company PIP, the editors and publisher of Journal of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery are pleased to offer readers a specially selected collection of papers from the journal archives. This brings together original research, expert comment, and authoritative reviews that we hope will be of interest to surgeons, researchers, patients and anyone who is interested in the topic. Included in the collection is the case report by Lahiri and Waters published in 2006 that first identified spread of silicone to the lymph nodes following rupture of a PIP implant.
To enhance the usage of these papers we are making them freely available to all on www.jprasurg.com. We hope that you find the collection useful and informative. Please send any feedback you may have to the editorial office: jpras@elsevier.com.
Kind regards Professor Stefan Hofer, MD PhD FRCS(C)
